WONDERFUL ANIMAL HOSPITAL
by WiseWoman
To saddened...
I am truly sorry for your loss... I am not sure what happened as we have taken all our pets there (4 cats and our dog) for many many years.
Last week,we lost our own beloved dog of 15 years. The team at Easton Animal Hospital, with Dr. Craig as our vet, was caring and compassionate, and couldn't have helped us get thru such a sad time any better than they did. They have always treated our pets as one of our family, with great enderness and kindness.
We had our dog cremated as well - he weighed 98 pounds when he passed away. The box you were provided is standard for everyone, which is also what we received. Anyone who uses their crematorium has an option to select some other urn, or special "casket" , after you receive their remains. Also, you would never be allowed to attend the cremation, as I believe it is not permissable by law. The paper you probably signed, as we did, is the release that allows them to complete the cremation, and whether it is single - meaning only your pet - or group - meaning more than one pet at once. It did not mean group as in you could attend. They explained all of this to us prior to anything taking place.
My heart goes out to you truly, as I know first hand, recently , how difficult this can be.
For us, the team there will continue to tend to all our animals as long as we are around to own them.
We've just "saved" another dog who needed a good home and lots of TLC, and he has an appointment with them next week to be checked. I know they will continue to provide the same great care and service to our newest family member. We'll never go anywhere else.
Kudos to the team at Easton Animal Hospital. We would recommend them to everyone.

TERRIBLE ANIMAL HOSPITAL
by SADDENED
I MOVED TO THE EASTON PA AREA IN JULY 2010. I STARTED BRINGING MY 4 DOGS TO EASTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL BECAUSE IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO MY HOUSE. MY 5 YEAR OLD DOG WAS BEING TREATED BY THEM. SHE DIED IN MY ARMS ON DECEMBER 16TH. I FEEL SHE WAS MISS DIAGNOSED. I HAD HER CREMATED THERE. THEY GAVE ME HER ASHES BACK IN AN UGLY WHITE TIN BOX LIKE SHE WAS A PIECE OF GARBAGE. I PURCHASED AN URN TO PUT HER REMAINS IN AND THE ASHES DID NOT FIT IN THE URN. I SPOKE WITH GLENN AT THE FACILITY REGARDING THE PROBLEM. HE SAID I COULD DROP OFF THE REMAINS AND HE WOULD RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM I WANTED TO BE PRESENT WHEN HE DID THIS. I DID SIGN A PAPER THAT SAID I COULD BE PRESENT FOR THE CREMATION. HE TOLD ME I COULD NOT BE THERE
BECAUSE I WAS TO UPSET. I WAS NOT UPSET- I WAS MAD!! HE WAS VERY NASTY ON THE PHONE AND TOLD ME TO EITHER DROP THE ASHES OFF OR NOT. I FOUND A NICE CREMATORY THAT HELPED ME RECTIFY THIS SITUATION AND THEY DID NOT
CHARGE ME ANYTHING. MY NEIGHBOR ALSO TOLD ME HE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS FACILITY.
I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW MY STORY ABOUT EASTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL. AND I WILL NEVER GO
BACK THERE AGAIN.
Unbelievably Great Care

This animal hospital has been the caregiver for our dog, Princess since we rescued her in 2007. She's gone through a lot with them and we've always been given all the time and attention and excellent care she's needed.
The other day, they really showed their colors when my sister-in-law called from work to ask if we could check up on her kitty who was sneezing up blood that morning. She felt awful that it happened to be a day on which she couldn't call off, and we went to pick up Socks and took her there. She was treated with excellent care, with compassion and they really worked well with us given the fact that we didn't have a lot of history on her. Socks' mommy will bring her back as her previous vet was MUCH less than caring. Socks' outcome would have been much worse if she had taken her to her previous vet.
All the people who work at Easton Animal Hospital should be given KUDOS for every thing they do every day.

Vet

I have been going to Easton Animal Hospital for over 30years. I have always found the staff to be very knowledgeable. I have no problem recommending this Vet to anyone. I called on a Friday night at 4:50 that my dog had jumped wrong and could not walk on her leg; they told me to immediately bring her over and everything was resolved. Three years ago, I had a 14 year old dog, who tore her ACL, the Doctor took the time to call me personally and told me what the pros and cons were to having her have surgery, he spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with me to make sure I knew everything regarding her case, a few months later she went into cardiac arrest late on a Saturday night. After taking her to the ER in Allentown she was moved back to Easton Animal Hospital. The Doctor's not Techs, or receptionists were on the phone with me regarding her health. They even made housecalls.... And when the time came a few days later after doing everything we could for her. They came to the house to put her to sleep. I found that service to be the best because she hated going to the vet, and at least she didn't have to have that anxiety in her condition and at that time. It was more peaceful. Over the years I have had 6 dogs that were patients there, and I have always found the staff to be caring. I can't pick a favorite Doctor, because I have found them all to be outstanding.
