Great italian dishes, seafood, chicken and steak!

by lilstreudel at Citysearch

My family of 5 absolutely love the food. My two favorites are chicken marsala, (chicken so tender you think it can't possibly be chicken) and the mezzaluna, which is ravioli. I know it's ravioli, but it's filled with this amazing cheese and spinach and covered in a delicious sauce. Warm bread is brought to your table with a seasoned olive oil for dipping. Even the kids meals are good. They also have nightly specials with fish and steak. Also, the garlic mashed potatos are to die for. The portions are large as well. The staff is efficient and friendly. The only problem is the wait, but you can sort of get around that with the call ahead seating. Go for an early dinner before 5pm and its pretty much a non-issue. Overall, its a great place and you'll go back for more.

  • Pros: great food, staff, prices
  • Cons: sometimes a long wait

An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain.

In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.

Very good food and atmosphere.

by timbit2004 at Citysearch

I have had better and more authentic Italian in the city but this is pretty darn good for the Lehigh Valley. It is nice, well decorated, the food is very good and the staff is excellent. The main problem is that is too busy

on Fri and Sat nights.

It does have a chain feel (Olive Garden) but it does it better than most Italian chains.

  • Pros: Food, service, atmosphere.
  • Cons: Chain feel, crowded on weekends.
