Never the same barber twice, higher prices on weekends

by b4gvn at Citysearch

I never have gotten the same barber in the 6 times I've been there, they rush you through, and are just unfriendly to my kids.

great place.

obviously b4gvn must be the owner or employee of another barber shop. he said bad things about king feathers and prasied another shop, yet has done no other reviews. i doubt he has even stepped foot into king feathers. i have been to the other shop and king feathers. and in my opinion king feathers wins hands down.

A REAL barber shop!

by stobbchi at Citysearch

This place is a REAL barber shop - NOT one of those unisex chain places where they don't even know what a regular haircut is, and here they don't have to rely on a fancy logo, bright decorations, or other gimmicks to try to impress you.

The price is decent, and the haircuts I have gotten were honestly the best I've had in years (and I've been to just about every hair cutting place in this area). Yes - I have had different barbers every time I've been there, but each one was very friendly and competent - not once did they need to ask me what clipper setting I wanted them to use.

The location is somewhat off the beaten path on the old Route 100 between Macungie & Trexlertown (next to the roller rink), but it is actually pretty easy to get to from either Hamilton Blvd. or Spring Creek Road. Because of my job I've never been there on a Saturday, but every time I have gone there for a haircut there has been plenty of available parking.

I'm not one for the unisex froo-froo places that are way too common these days in places like Wal-Mart, in shopping centers and the malls. I enjoy the old-time feeling of a real barber shop & the smell of the talc when you walk in..... besides getting a decent haircut, that is. I'd definitely recomend this place.
