Editorial Review for Coyote Crossing – by Lauren McCutcheon
In Short
A big, old stucco house in residential Conshohocken opens up to a dimly lit bar and restaurant filled with a variety of patrons. South-of-the-border fare lures in the most conservative American palate with sweet sauces and light spices. The kitchen one-ups basic enchiladas, nachos and quesadillas with stateside flair. Try a signature delicious, potent frozen margarita with your meal.

I am, frankly, shocked, at the complaints about poor service. I have been here several times with various friends (we've even brought Mom once!) , and have never had rude or neglectful service. In fact, the waitstaff have always been very personable and friendly! I HAVE waited for a table for a fairly long time (once), but that time was considerably shortened by the pitcher of frozen margaritas at the bar!! For the record, I am sometimes embarrassing to my husband, because one of my pet peeves in life is rudeness, followed closely by poor service. I feel very strongly about tipping accordingly! (The third item on that list is 'misplaced' arrogance. You know, by waiters/waitresses who think that I should feel privileged to have them there at all!) Anyway, I will continue to patronize Coyote Crossing, and hopefully will not have the kinds of issues with staff, food, etc. that others have suffered through. By the way, I have never been to Texas, and only once to Mexico, but I think the food here is terrific!! And you can't beat the patio in the heart of Conshy on a summer night. If you didn't know better, you would never believe that you're in the middle of a neighborhood!!
Pros: The Patio
Cons: A little pricey, but worth the $

Service was the not the best. As a matter of fact it was the worst part if you are not willing to wait. HOWEVER, the food was the best mexican food that I have ever had. Even the chip and salsa was the best I have ever had. I give this place a 5 for rating only because the food more then makes up for the service.
Pros: Food, out door eating
Cons: Service
