Great Chinese. Hunan Springs is one of the best asian cusine restaurants in the Lehigh valley. The menu is a bit better than the common "general Tso's chicken" and egg roll theme. Granted, it's not as good as PF Changs or some center city Philly place, but for the LV it is really good. Their beef sates and spring rolls taste homemade, and the entrees are slightly unique. Service is very good, and the wait staff seems to LIKE waiting on you. Drink refills in seconds, but no rushing.

Atmosphere is a bit wierd in the main dining room...the restaurant is set in an old, Colonial Inn...so barn timbers and Mongolian Beef don't seem to mesh well, but the bar, foyer and waiting room are very Asian and nice. Giant front doors with the biggest iron door handles I've ever seen is interesting...my son calls them Lord of The Rings doors.

Anyway, for a good mix of atmosphere and food, it is excellent, and by far the best Chinese around.

Excellent cozy atmosphere, good food. Americanized.. The decor is nice, the atmosphere is cozy. The food was very good. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant but wish

it had a more authentic feel. I am not sure if they are trying for Americanzed or authentic so I can't really fault them for it. I recommend for small groups or a date.

The best Chinese food in the area!. Hunan Springs is by far the best Chinese in the area. The takeout service is weak, though -- if you call in an order for pickup, make sure to check your order a dozen times both on the phone and when you go pick it up -- there is always a mistake.

great enough for our rehearsal dinner!. for our bethlehem wedding, my wife (fiance at the time) went to the city's best chinese restaurants. we ordered the same 3 dishes at each restaurant, and the winner was hands-down Hunan Springs! they have great cantonese style chow mein (chrispy pan fried noodles w/ sauce), sesame chicken, and their salt and pepper shrimp! (we ordered walnut shrimp at the others) their s&p shrimp really IS that good!

they gave us a great deal and a great room for the rehearsal dinner!

for authentic great tastin' chinese food, get away for those take-out places and DEFINITELY try these guys out! you WON'T regret it!

So good! Try the salt and pepper shrimp. This restaurant has the best chinese food in the area! Try the salt and pepper shrimp (chef's specialty)--it's the best salt and pepper shrimp that I've ever had!!!

Their duck is very good as well.
