40.588597 -75.558814Relaxed and pleasant. LOVE this place, have visited for years. Not just "the same old thing"! I worked selling antiques and absolutely loved shopping here! Cream of the crop merchandise. This is NOT a 5 minute clone mall store! A place to enjoy and discover. New ideas and thinking in the crafts, pleasant memories in the antiques. The only folks I've ever seen have a bad experience here were the ones with rotten attitudes to start with! Always wonderful items for collectors and items for those of us who wish that we had more time to craft! They even carry small snack items (like cookies!) to help with the shopping munchies! When you plan to visit, schedule more than an hour, and plan on poking and finding your treasure! Could find anything, from small nicknacks to furniture (if I remember right, they had player pianos, too...) And since the stands are all stocked by different folks, the inventory changes every day! Was a life saver when I was pregnant, kept me from being stuck in the house!
Cottage Crafters. I love to buy and make crafts, but lately it seems like they barely exist anymore! I travel over an hour from New Jersey to shop here because I can find lots of cute and homemade items. The antique side is fun too even for my children who really don't have an actual interest in antiques. it's definitely something to be checked out if you've never been there!
Cottage Crafters.
Once you understand the set up its quite easy. You enter the building, crafts are on the left, antiques are on the right the sides are separated by the General Store . Bid board is in the back. It does take a little bit to get use to, but if you stay on the tiled part you will be able to navigate around the store. Its a big store so it takes some time to see everything.
Every booth(store) is rented by a different vendor. The store does not take inventory of the vendors items, simply because their is no way to keep track of hundreds of items. The best bet is to ask someone on the floor(usually always wearing an apron) if you can not find one ask for help at the front desk they will get a vendor to assist you. It may be hard to locate a specific item, since its always changing, but the vendors are the "eyes" of the floor and usually can help or help look for an item.
Great Unique Gifts. If you are looking for UNIQUE and interesting HARD TO FIND GIFTS, you have come to the right place! The prices are reasonable. It is a little time consuming to view all the booths & what they have to offer because of the way they are arranged. But even with that in mind, you will find a treasure trove of goodies. I stumbled onto a booth that makes the most precious & unique gifts for baby showers. They are called "The FairyGiftmothers" and they make these "Dolls" out of diapers, outfits and other gift items inside. I bought one to give to my niece! There is also a booth with the cutest pet items. If you have a free afternoon I suggest you check this place out.
Nice prices, lots of parking space. I have found many nice treasures at this store. Alot of good condition vintage pieces. I found things to add to my own collections and could not believe the price compared to most. They even have great items at there silent auctions, better stuff. I have been going to this store for many many years and enjoy the atmosphere. I love to shop where nobody has to bother you or keep looking over your shoulder. Very relaxed atmosphere and are helpful when you are ready. I have yet to run into the rude lady that was mentioned in another post, maybe she quit or moved to the country. I have never encountered this one.
very unoriginazied,. visited this business very confusing as the setup, like a maze of shops isles are small.customer service is very poor, couldnot direct me to a right shop i was interested in.recomend not shopping there at all.
Great customer service. It's easy to lose track of time when you're in this store! After running about the Lehigh Valley's used furniture stores looking for a certain size table, I found it here ... and at a great price! The personal attention given to each of the clients (including me), the variety of items - both antiques and crafts, the ability to have them boxed for gift-giving (if small enough), fair pricing, weekly store hours, and the option to take home a small bit of fudge -- will make me a repeat customer. Remember to ask for a possible discount on the item when at checkout - you may recieve an additional 10% off! If your item is large, assistance is provided to help you load it into your vehicle. And the fudge ... again, a nice variety is available for purchase -- it's all good, trust me! The front desk has a direct line to each of the sellers and is happy to answer any questions that you may have. If you're looking for old-fashioned items: country to Victorian, and old-fashioned customer service, this is the place to go.
Cool unique items. Really cool and unique items. Lots of them. However the staff was very rude to my self and daughter. They actually kicked us out. We were there browsing, a staff member announced there were 4 more minutes and the store would be closing, please make your final selection and come up front. Well my daughter and I were finishing looking at the section we were in when an older woman came walking over not even 1 minute after the announcement and yelled to us that they are closing. I responed by saying I had heard the announcement. She then very rudly came closer to us saying well...... And then asked "if there were any more of us?" I left there empty handed and feeling very insulted. There was no need for the store employee to act like that! At her age she should have know better!!Will definatley think twice about revisiting that store.
