Love this tea room!!!!!!!.
Every couple months I have a tea luncheon and I brought along a friend from England last month. She was very impressed. There are 88 different teas and our waitress was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was in each of the teas.
The food was presentation was outstanding. We ended up drinking 4 different teas between two of us.
The atmosphere is beautiful Victorian, full of lace lavender and charm. It's perfect for luncheons and/or for days out with friends. We have celebrated many birthdays here as well.
Thank you for another wonderful meal and experience. We always have a blast had a blast. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Charming place and people.
This is a tea room with FLAIR! The decor is beautiful, the food delicious, and the servers are sweet, friendly and just plain fun. We had a fabulous time. I plan to visit often.
I have visited many tea rooms and surely this is one of the best!
Horrible service.
Do I really have to give this one star? I happened to stumble upon this thread while searching for a recently vacated tea room in Emmaus; had to share my Blue Butterfly Experience....
I attended a wedding shower here in 1996....I guess I didn't realize what happened behind the scenes because I was so impressed, I had a wedding shower for my best friend here, back in 1998. A substancial amount of money was spent for this gathering, almost $1000, which was a nice amount to drop, you figure, for an afternoon luncheon 12 years ago....it was not like we were dining on Surf and Turf. We had the shower in the chapel, in August during a heat wave. The heat in the chapel was unbearable, only ceiling fans were turned on and when we asked the staff and owner to turn on the air conditioning, they refused. The bride to be's very elderly grandmother was there, basically had to be carried into the shower and while sitting there in the heat, she became quite overcome by the heat and nearly passed out...at this time, no beverages had been served. I went back to the wait staff where the owner was present, and asked for a beverage as well as a 2nd suggestion to turn on the air for the poor lady as well as all guests and was given a lot of "huffing and puffing, under breath comments I couldn't hear.....they gave her a water but never turned on the air conditioning. The food and atmosphere was great but for what we paid for the chapel, food and beverage, I felt we also should have been accomodated otherwise, especially in the heat wave! I was in the food business at the time as was my mother, who is the owner of her own catering business, was also an attendee and helped coordinate the shower...we both realize things happen but to be treated in such a way was disturbing and a black flag to the food/catering industry. They have never had my business, nor any of the attendee's business since that day.
Nice Experience...Strange Experience. I spent a lot of money having my daughters birthday party at this place. However, the rude lady decided that I should also purchase lunch for some of the mothers that showed up with their daughters. She started to cause a sceen, so I did it to save the party. Customer Focused is not their theme!!!!!!!!!
Was once a good idea. This is more of a "tea room" than a "gift shop." The original owner has designed a delightful place with a great menu (scones, sandwiches, etc), great for get togethers, showers, etc. However, as one other reviewer mentioned, there is a crazy old lady who works there that goes out of her way to be rude and surly. Her presence takes away from overall charming experience. I have been there in the past when she is not working and it is such a lovely experience. I'm sorry she has been left to her own devices.
Do Not go here!. I went in looking for a tea set. I found one, covered in dust, and asked the price. The lady yelled at me saying that this one was just brought down(although box was yellow and covered in a inch of dust) and she didn't know the price. She then proceeded to take it out of the box and admire it. What kind of store doesn't want people to buy their merchandise. Stay far away from this wacko!
