40.589754 -75.562879Best tanning Salon in the Valley!!!. I love tanning at Baja Beach, I walked in and was greeted and taken for a tour immediately. My first impression was how clean and well kept the salon was. The girl who toured me was great, she explained all the different tanning beds, stand-ups and even the new LED unit which I had no glue what that even was. She then went over all the lotion products and why I should wear a lotion and what was best for my skin type, NO ONE EVER DID THAT AT ANY OTHER SALON. The packages are great, they have really good prices and have something for everyone. A lot of my friends now tan at Baja and they all love it too.
Excellent tanning beds, not so excellent customer service. Baja has excellent tanning beds and rooms that are well-maintained. The facility is clean and has a cheerful atmosphere. I feel like they have a commitment to quality as far as their equipment is concerned. They do not seem to have a similar commitment, however, to customer service. The one sales person, I'll call her "leather face" (when you see her, you'll know exactly who I'm talking about) is extremely pushy! She will try to get you to purchase the most expensive monthly package and tanning lotions. If she tries to get you to buy lotion (which is good idea), don't take the first lotion she offers you... it costs $45/bottle plus tax! They have cheaper options which work just as well. Insist on a cheaper option! Also, their tanning packages are very confusing, and leather face doesn't do a very good job of decifering them for you. You can buy a monthly package for about $60 which allows you to tan as much as you want in the stand up booths or beds for 30 days, but you're still not considered a "member". If you want to be a "member" you have to purchase an additional package. I'm not exactly sure what being a member gets you... I think you get discounts on their already-overpriced products and discounts on their spray-on tans. So, you're basically paying for discounts... which doesn't make much sense, since it nets to a zero gain anyway. If you want to go to this place without losing your wallet, try to speak to someone other than leatherface. The other girls who work there seem nicer and more interested in helping you than getting you to spend all of your money.
