SUPER FUN SALON!

I was floored as soon as i walked in the door. This salon is so unique, friendly, down to earth, and yet, classy. Kristen is an expert hair colorist and errs on the side of caution. She will do whatever you want, but if its a little off the wall, she will caution you about it (I wanted some crazy color, and she warned me about how it would grow out...we compromised so that both of us were comfortable before we began). She also very recently hired some additional stylists and they are also very competent as well. They all seem to work well together, like a true team effort. She offers natural nail services, so there are no toxic fumes like in some salons!! They also offer lots of other services, but i have not tried anything but an eyebrow wax, which was great. I will definitely keep going back to this salon in Trexlertown.

• Pros: Great atmosphere, very friendly and detail-oriented staff!
• Cons: Waited 15 minutes for appt time.

Very bad experience

I had to find a new stylist and found Kristen to have mostly favorable on-line reviews. This eased my concerns about going to someone new. The result though, was the worst styling experience I’ve ever had.

1. Kristen did not give me the hairstyle I requested. I even brought a picture of what I wanted and she gave me a completely different cut.

2. I asked that the hair length come down to my shoulders. She cut it chin length. It is so short that it will take six plus months before I can have it styled closer to what I had asked for – and it will still be shorter then I wanted.

3. She started out by making insulting remarks about my previous stylist --- who I have always been very happy with. She then spent the rest of the time playing up her business and her expansion plans. I found it very off-putting.

I get annoyed every time I look in the mirror – and I’ll have to live with it for the better part of a year.

• Cons: Doesn't listen to the customer, self-absorbed

I underestimated this gal!

Well, this has been the most "special" experience of my

entire life. I started to see Kristen a little over a year ago, she seemed sooo concerned and caring, and it got stale very quickly. I was charged thousands of $$$

for her "expertise", only to find she did not know what she was doing. Who would put a Japanese haircolor on your head for an hour, (without reading directions), put you under a dryer for an hour and continue to get

more drunk??? She won't answer any of my calls, my emails, etc, as she says she did nothing wrong! Do you want this happening to you????????????

• Cons: She is overly self consumed
