Eh.... If you want good mexican food try La Lupita (amazing), not Tortilla Flat. The food is just average...nothing special at all. Atmosphere is fun and drinks are good.

Terribly bland and burnt food, horrible service. You'd be better off going to Taco Bell. Honestly, this place doesn't even deserve one star. Mexican cuisine is supposed to be bold, spicy and flavorful, yet everything my party ordered lacked ANY flavor. AT ALL. The meal started off alright with the chips and salsa arriving promptly. But the salsa tastes like grocery store tomatoes chopped up with white onions and mixed with tap water, and the chips oozed with stale peanut oil. We started off with the nachos - canned beans, iceberg lettuce, pre-grated 'mexican blend' cheese, bland tomatoes, possibly canned shredded chicken? - and they couldn't have been less flavorful. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, which are served with some black beans from a can, mashed up avacado (NOT guacamole, whether they claim it is or not), sour cream, flavorless rice, and 3 tiny flour tortillas that were very possibly bought at Dollar General. The presentation was nice - shrimp, peppers, tomatoes and onions served up on a sizzling cast iron skillet - but the food was terribly bland and overcooked. My shimp were shriveled, burnt on the bottom and stuck to the skillet. My party also ordered the carne asada (which I assume Tortilla Flat thinks is Spanish for "steak burnt to hell") and the chicken fajitas (as bland and burnt as the shrimp.) The service was horrible and excruciatingly slow and the prices are ludicrous considering how awful the food is. It's a real shame that such a prime location is wasted on such a horrible restaurant. Avoid Tortilla Flat at all costs.

Not worth one star!. After waiting for two hours for our dinner, and hearing multiple empty apologies and promises from the waitresses, we decided to tell them we had enough and left. This place is terrible, not worth the time and money!

Worst Experience Ever. Ever have one of those days that you just want to end? Ever want to try and turn that day around with a good meal, in a good place?

Don't try that at TortillaFlats. This place stinks to all high heaven. My wife and I have been sharing meals together for almost 6 years, and we've never had such a combination of horrible service AND food.

Yep, we got seated promptly. Yep, we got chips and salsa promptly. Then the honeymoon ended.

The salsa couldn't stimulate a baby's tongue. Horribly bland, boring salsa. Then, I ask for a 'Sol'. You know, Sol. The mexican beer served at mexican restaurants EVERYWHERE. The waitress just looks at me. I'm a weak man, so I crumble under the weight of her opressive stare.

"Pacifico?" I say, which they have.

The point of me saying "Sol" is because I WANTED ONE. I saw someone else get one, that's what I want. Not sure why one person got one and not me.

We pick our meals.....then we proceed to wait about 25-30 minutes to order. The last 10 minutes of this time our drinks AND chips and salsa are empty.

Finally we get to order. I'm pumped. Who cares about this crappy service so far, let's dig in!!

Slow down pardner.....the food stinks too. 'Chalupas' on soggy tortillas. Enchiladas with sauce that's just spicy, not tasty. Our tacos tasted like peanut oil (hey, Flats, ya think you used too much?). My chile relleno didn't have all it's seeds removed (making for a gritty and toothpick-intensive after dinnertime).

OK, the food stunk, the service stunk, let's get our check and get outta here.

Not so fast, Mr. Optimism.

20 more minutes ti the check comes.

Worst experience EVER.

EVER.

I've had better mexican out of a can. Spare your wallet and your tastebuds the trouble and head to Casa Toro in Coopersburg. Fresh, authentic food and good service.

Flat.... Flat Taste. Flat is the word... Flat taste. The food at this place is very boring. Salsa is made from fresh ingredients, but lacks taste big time.. like they stirred some onions into a can of diced tomatoes. Main course is similarly uninteresting. We both got chalupas, which should be with fried tortillas... they were not. The best word to describe the burritos is flaccid. This was actually the second time we went. It was just as bad the first time, but we thought to give them a second chance (its in a great location). On top of all this, the waiter gave me a second beer without asking if I wanted another (rude). Then, he asked if we could pay with cash because he was so busy!! (God forbid he do his job and run a credit card). This was a saturday afternoon and there were 2 waits and maybe 8 tables. This not that busy, and if it really was busy, they should still do their job.

So, in summary, been there twice, food is very bland... Service was fine the first time, I think we just got a bad waiter this last time, and let me tell you, it was the last time. Save your money for something else.

disappointed. I was very excited to hear about this restaurant, but was very disappointed. The service was bad, food was cold, most of thing listed on menu they were out of(at one o'clock in the afternoon). I can't see this place staying open long, so save your money and go somewhere else!
