Worst New Years Eve EVER!. My husband and I were asked to join some of my family to celebrate NYE for my birthday for dinner at The Meadows. I can honestly say I will NEVER go back there again! I had been there for their very cheaply priced luncheons in the past (about $6 each), only to be charged $86 for three people for the SAME food! First the crab "bisque" was so watered down it looked like colored water. They even water down the salad dressings!!! About five hours after leaving there, I felt sick to my stomach, and here it is two days later and I am still laying in bed with stomach issues that have drained me to the point of being lifeless! Not only was my birthday/NYE spoiled, it also detained me from attending a breakfast as my daughters the next morning for a birthday breakfast she and my granddaughter worked hard to surprise me with, and I could NOT attend! The food is disgusting, they water down everything that can be watered down, and everything is tasteless. DO NOT ATTEND ANY EVENTS THERE! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Hospital food. My friend and I went to the meadows "burp'' excuse me. Today we went for Christmas dinner, a man was sitting in front of entrance in the cold with a cash register, I mean, who takes money before you eat it, besides a fast food place, man, id love to have had a bigmac instead. Ok, here we go, as we walked in, no friendliness, the buffet looked generic as we passed by it. Salad bar had 3 dressings, no ranch. no toppings to add to it, besides a fruit pan and something in another pan.The tea was horrible. The buffet was the worst I ever had in 39 years on this earth. Food wasnt hardly warm. Potatoes tasted instant. gravy was colored water. Ive tasted much better out of a can. My woman friend said the food was disgusting on the way out to a lady by the door, she looked shocked, I said, just our opinions. This place sucked, never to return. lesson learned, I just pray I dont get a virus to top it off. This place should close Christmas day, just like every other place did in hellertown, anything for a buck I guess, well they got 43$ from us today. Maybe there good other days of the week, I highly doubt it, Ill never know. When its good, you tell them, when it sucks, you tell them. Ok, thats all. Going to go eat yesterdays pizza now, Merry Christmas :) It didnt qualify for a star, Im dead serious. Good desert doesnt get a full star.

A great place for an event. Having used the Meadows for years for picnics and sit down dinner parties I have to say without a doubt they have continued to outdo themselves in both service and food. Russ, the owner, has year after year put his best foot forward to satisfy my needs and wants. The band Paragon is a well established band capable of playing on reguest almost any song by digging into their many years of playing thoughout the Lehigh Valley. If you have a price for your planned affair, visit the meadows and get their bid to do your affair. You won't be sorry.

NOT recommended. We had our wedding at the Meadows and I was extremely nervous from the time we booked the place. Russell is extremely unorganized and he gets off track during important meetings. Every time we would go for an appointment to set up the menu, etc. they hadn't had our appointment written down and would wonder why we were there. For our final appointment they had us double-booked because Russell hadn't written it down when I called, and they rushed us out in 5 minutes. I was very upset. A few days before my wedding Kim called me up basically yelling that I hadn't given my seating chart to them yet. I said I had just finished it and would bring it by in an hour and she said no, now would be better since she was "paying people to stand around with nothing to do." She was extremely rude to me, a paying customer. Needless to say, I was extremely worried with my wedding date fast approaching. On the day of the wedding, we had a slideshow that I had worked very hard on for months. The Meadows provided a projector and said that they had a DVD player. The DVD player wasn't working correctly so the slideshow kept skipping around and malfunctioning. They did nothing. The food was only decent, but the service from our hostess was pretty good. Our cake looked nice, but was supposed to have buttercream icing and ended up having disgusting whipped icing and we did not enjoy it. Overall, I would NOT recommend The Meadows for your wedding reception. The place is beautiful but the management is horrible, disorganized, and rude.

One word...AWFUL. We decided to eat out this year for our Thanksgiving dinner and thought the Meadows would be a good choice. What a disappointment! The food was awful! The turkey was okay but it was the sides that were just gross! The stuffing looked like soggy bread, the sweet potatoes were unrecognizable and the drinks weren't any better! We had the ice tea and coffee and both were so weak as it was like drinking dirty water. It didn't stop with the food as the staff was very unpleasant and rude! It was freezing in the room and when we told the employee his answer was to put our coats on! The older woman behind the coffee machine and dessert area was rude and had a chip on her shoulder. When asked a question she snapped at you like she was doing you a favor by her being there. If you didn't want to work on Thanksgiving...then stay home!! VERY RUDE! We won't be going back! If I could give this place a rating of minus zero I would! Never again!

paragon rocks, a very good band, many many songs. i produced a number of events at the meadows. russell & kim are always great to deal with. the lehigh valley music awards got started at the meadows due to russell supporting regional music.

his band paragon does a wide range of songs, from frank sinatra to led zepplin. quality musicians who have performed at musikfest.

any negative reviews on their talent probably comes from their competition, cowards who do not give their name.

DO NO USE THEIR BAND/DJ!!. The band is so horrible. Please be sure to listen to the band before you get swindled into using them as part of your package. They absolutely suck and will assure everyone at your wedding stays in their seats. They can't get booked anywhere so since the owner is a member of the band he tries to get people to use them who are utilizing his facilities because it comes off as a great deal. The DJ is horrible too. Anyone could have done 100x better putting an ipod on shuffle for the night. No relevant music and no one dancing. DO NOT USE PARAGON as your entertainment. THEY BLOW!!

WONDERFUL PLACE FOR A WEDDING!!!. I initially felt that things started out a little slow with The Meadows staff after making our deposit, but as an anxious bride, I just needed to chill. The Meadows staff handle things at their pace, as per their policies and procedures and things got done just fine, so... Bridzilla and Groomzilla's RELAX!!! The Meadows staff will handle everything for you, you just need to make sure you take up what you need them to have the day or 2 days before and let them know exactly what you want, don't expect them to be mind-readers. Yes, they do this everyday but every wedding is different.

My husband and I got married at The Meadows in Sept. 2008 and everything was wonderful. Everything went off without a hitch and we were so pleased with the staff, as were our guests. Our family and friends still rave about how wonderful our wedding was and how it was the nicest they have ever been to; the day was beautiful the venue was perfect (we wed on the deck and our reception was in the Andrucci Room) and they loved the food we picked from there large menu. We couldn't ask for a better more perfect day!

Thank you Russ & Denise, you and your staff are great!

Great wedding day, but a little frustrating up to that point.... To sum up The Meadows to someone looking for a reception hall, I'd have to word it like this: "It's a big-time business, but it's run like a mom-and-pop shop." I say this because up until our wedding day, it was like working with Sal at your local mechanic shop. When you call, they simply answer with "Meadows." Not, "Hi, thank you for calling The Meadows. This is (name), how can I help you?" I could care less, but it still shows how they run the place. Then we try over and over again to get a concrete balance of what we have yet to pay (after our deposit), and not one person could give us an actual figure. It was always, "Somewhere in the $3,000 range." Not helpful when you're trying to budget for a big wedding. Then we have our "two-week meeting," at 7:00 at night. We weren't seen until 7:50, and didn't leave until 9:30. Not a good night at all. Then we have our dinner rehearsal, a very important night, and they double-booked us with another party! We had to rehearse in a totally different area of The Meadows, so we were completely in the dark during the actual wedding. We had to figure out what to do minutes before the ceremony, all because they double-booked.

Now, with all that being said, and with all the worried we had with the wedding since they run the place so old-school, we were thrilled with the actual wedding and reception! That morning, there were three young girls setting up the reception hall, and they did a wonderful job. Our hostess was great, and walked us through every step of the way. They were accommodating to the vendors we hired, and everything was done in a timely manor. Not to mention the fact that the place is gorgeous, and made for some great pictures! The food was just so-so in my opinion, but with the price you pay, you can't expect gourmet. We spent literally half of what it would have cost at a gold club, with the same results. I would recommend this place for sure, just know it's a bit old-school. Great wedding!

By far best choice for our wedding.... We just returned from our honeymoon (BTW you MUST go to Cozumel, Mexico) anyway, i just wanted to say that the Meadows in Hellertown is the greatest place for a wedding. I've been to many weddings in my life and our wedding topped them all. The guests loved the food and service. My wife couldn't say enough about the waitress who waited on her hand and foot all night. And the band was amazing! People were coming up to us all night and saying how much fun they were having. Even my little grandmother was out there dancing!! The only bad thing all night was the weather. It was off and on all night but that didn't stop the staff from taking extra special care of us. The owner even offered to put up the sides of his tent (yes, we did have the tent wedding and i REALLY recommend it, the scenery out there is great)... we chose to leave the sides down but just the fact that he was willing to have his staff come out and put up sides in the middle of a busy night shows a lot about his willingness to work with a couple on their special day. I can't say enough about our experience there. We will recommend them to anyone we know who's looking to get married and have an amazing night for VERY reasonable prices. Thank you again people at the meadows!
