When Will The Suffering End

I think about Pa. Breeder Dogs and their tortuous lives in the morning and every night I thank God on cool days that they are not baking in the sun, my heart breaks on sweltering days that they are dying in the heat. If we continue to buy puppies, they will suffer more. If we refuse to buy puppies and adopt or rescue instead, their torture will end. People who have know suffering in their lives, understand this innately. People without hearts will continue to buy puppies and the suffering will continue. NEVER BUY A PUPPY. These dogs come from places like Myers Kennels on Brubaker Rd. in Lititz, - they have 800 dogs in cages - breeding them because YOU buy them. NEVER BUY A PUPPY...

Puppy mill puppies galore.

I honestly can't believe this place is still running. The place is stocked wall to wall with numerous different breeds of puppies sitting in their own filth. It smells terrible.

I've heard horror stories of people who purchased from them and ended up with horribly ill puppies who died after numerous vet visits and attempts at saving them. I've also heard horror stories of how sickly and thin the puppies look when they arrive at the store from the puppy mills.

Their 'quarantine' room is a joke. This is the room where their 'sick' puppies go. It's a small room full of wheezing, hacking, pitiful puppies. It's also completely open (no door even!) to the rest of the store, and no one is required to wash their hands after visiting the sick puppies. How exactly is this quarantine?

If you hate puppy mills and animal neglect/abuse, steer clear of this store. Do not give them your money, you're only supporting their poor practices and the puppy mills they get their puppies from.

Bad Breeders - See the Proof!

This place is disgusting! You can see that (or smell that) once you walk in. This guy is buying from some kennels that have been warned and cited for things like "Moldy food", "Feces in food", "No shelter for outside dogs" and "Wires sticking into cages".

Don't shop...adopt! Many breed-specific rescues have beautiful purebred puppies for an adoption fee that is a fraction of what these stores charge!
